Part of 33rd Annual Black Doll Show: Dolls Gone Wild
A series of three doll-making workshops will take place as part of Dolls Gone Wild! Learn to make your own wild dolls, puppets, and more with our guest instructors. Take all three, or just one.
12/21, 2-4pm – Dolls and Puppets with Recycled Materials – This workshop will be taught by artist Anna Martine Whitehead. The materials fee will be $10 cash.
1/11, 2-4 pm – Dolls of Hope – The Dolls of Hope project evolved out of a 1998 World AIDS Day Program initiated by faculty member Cynthia Davis of Charles Drew University. Make handmade cloth dolls for AIDS orphans and/or women, children or youth impacted with HIV/AIDS. This workshop will be taught by Cynthia Davis, project founder. 1/18, 2-4pm – Dolls Gone Wild – Imaginative dollmaking as taught by 33rd Annual Black Doll Show curators, Dale Guy Madison and Cheryl Williams.
