African-American Composers Exhibition Series / Classes and Workshops

Pre-Register for Spring 2014 Classes Now Before 2/14! Registration Begins Saturday 2/15 and Continues Monday 2/17 and Tuesday 2/18 Next Week!

You must Pre-Register in order to be able to receive an application to Register for classes. These classes are part of the programming around the 6th Annual African-American Composers Series  exhibition this year featuring the artistry, career, and life of the pioneering Blues legend Leadbelly. The 8 week class session will run from March 4-April 26. Classes are free for ages 3-18.

From music to art, each class will focus on the Blues while also teaching music and art fundamentals – the songs and stories which Leadbelly wrote, documented, recorded, performed, and sung.

Two-step application process:

1) MANDATORY PRE-REGISTRATION – VIA PHONE OR IN PERSON  February 11-14 – Reserve your application to register for classes! 323-734-1165 or stop by the Center.

2) REGISTRATION – IN PERSON ONLY, FIRST COME FIRST SERVED, ONLY THOSE ON THE PRE-REGISTRATION LIST WILL RECEIVE AN APPLICATION. February 15, 17 & 18  during Center hours from 12-5pm
