All summer, the campers of Art & Jazz Summer Camp have been perfecting their tap skills, learning the basics of woodwind and brass including trumpet, clarinet and recorder, strumming guitars and ukulele, creating 3D sculptures inspired by the work of Noah Purifoy and original theatrical productions, exploring the vocal and musical works of Duke Ellington, getting fit and focused through yoga and African Martial Arts, enjoying lunchtime performances by artists like Jamaiel Shabaka and Family as well as Daniel O’Brien, visiting a few great LA cultural sites for inspiration, and much more!
This Saturday at 2pm is the final production.The concert will take place at West Adams Church of Christ. A potluck and exhibition viewing will follow back at The William Grant Still Arts Center after the concert ends at 4pm.
